How tragic, to use a great GOD-given ability to think, and tell others that understanding the Cosmos will help mankind to “know the mind of God” while calling such knowledge an “ultimate triumph of human reason”, all the while NOT even believing in GOD!
But Jesus is “near unto all that call upon Him” (Psalm 145:18), and is forward to appear even through the fabric of space-time to His children (Matthew 28:9, Luke 24:36; John 20:19-26) saying “Shalom! (Peace!)”, but HE only appears as a remote, ominous threat to His enemies “The adversaries of the
LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed. ” (1 Samuel 2:10) “Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger?” (Nahum 1:6) The kind, comforting Kinsman Redeemer (Go'el גֹאֵל ) -Ruth 3:9-13, and the enemy's “Avenger of Blood” (Go'el גֹאֵל ) -Deuteronomy 19:6-12; Joshua 20:3-9), are One and the Same Person, the Victorious SON OF GOD!
Secular-science propagandists, and your prince:
While calling the brightest and most energetic objects in the universe “black holes”, modern science often asserts that many QSO's are so far away that “they don't even exist anymore” so, not only are QSOs “black holes,” but “non-existent black holes” at that! Our young people and families have NO reason to be fooled by your continually changing opinions! You already know, and will know this. The GOD whom you continually deny and belittle, “The LORD rebuke thee...” (Zechariah 3:2, Jude 9).
Jesus is the Water of Life (John 4:10; Revelation 22:17). Believers will live in His presence over a “sea of glass mingled with fire” (Revelation 15:2) in His perfect presence in spotless Light! All enemies will be banished to “outer darkness” (Matthew 22:13). Choose your destiny today.
VII. THE COSMOS AND THE RETURN OF CHRIST
The great mo'ed “appointment” of CHRIST's Return is to be fulfilled by signs “omens” in the heavens!
When the Disciples asked Jesus of the “sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the (age)” (Matthew 24:1) He replied with such phrases as “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring” (Luke 21:25)
Jesus' words here are used by many people to get carried away and try to find a solar event or an eclipse or series of eclipses that is directly connected to the Second Coming. Bible students have correctly maintained that whatever “sign” (omen) there may be that is directly connected with Christ's return, it will NOT be predictable by NASA, or any other human agency with human data tables! “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. “ (Matthew 24:36) But even Bible-believers have thought that statements like Matthew 24:29 must somehow be very metaphorical: “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken! “ But Mark 13:25 repeats the same thing! and then there is Revelation 6:13-16 (PLEASE READ IT!!) “ And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of HIM that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:"
And Peter writes “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat...” (2 Peter 3:10) Which brings us to the concluding statements of this study. GIVEN THE BIBLICAL MODEL of the nature of the universe that we have presented in this study, ALL of the Scriptures make plain, literal sense.
Taking everything in the Bible at face value, we must agree with Ussher's literal chronology, that Creation must have occurred at about 4004 B.C. Creation Days are literal, Earth-cycle days and NOT ages. There is NO room in Biblical genealogies, as written, for missing ages. What then? Skipping many pertinent studies and many wonderful references for sake of brevity, we point out that a water-shielded cosmos was NOT made to last into eternity after mankind sinned and caused the “whole creation” to “groan and travail in pain” (Romans 8:22) It is Bible- notable, then, that King David and the prophets around his time, by the Holy Spirit, saw in spirit a breakup of the heavens, and the results that would occur on earth. They exulted in many passages such as:
“Of old hast Thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of Thy hands. They shall perish, but Thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt Thou change them, and they shall be changed: (Psalm 102:25, 26)
“The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof. Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne. A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about. His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled. The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the LORD of the whole earth. The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory,” (Psalm 97:1-6) and “The LORD reigneth, He is clothed with majesty...The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.” (Psalm 93:1a, 4)
Our point is that King David lived around 1000 B.C., that is, about 3000 years AFTER creation. It is quite likely that he and the Spirit-filled prophets around him were actually exulting because of the breakup of the celestial water shield and the breach of intense Glory into the Cosmos during their earthly lifetimes. The scenario follows:
The Genesis 1 cosmos was set up as a shielded “tent to dwell in” (Isaiah 40:22) and made NOT to collapse on itself-- NOT because of “inflation” or a natural “Lambda”, but because GOD stretches it by His power. As frozen plate separates from frozen plate along QSO “lines”, the greatly-thinned shield begins to break apart. David and others exult in the power of the LORD, and the noise of the fire and great waters! A lightning-like display is seen, first, between QSO locations around the Milky Way's north pole., This polar area, being near to the Throne and the “city of the Great King” (Psalm 48:2; Isaiah 14:13-15) suddenly bursts with a fiery, energetic blast into the cosmos along our galactic-separation-path in the heavens. About 3000 more years pass:
...A conical front of burning matter and searing ash speeds through space at nearly the speed of Light itself, as presumptuous present-day party-goers ignore Biblical warnings, unaware that a light event that has already happened is speeding towards them through the darkness of the first several millennia of Creation's history. . . (We cannot see any distant event approaching us at light speed until it reaches us!) The event's arrival to Earth precludes ANY calendar or database, and is ONLY known to the Father of All (Matthew 24:36). Shocked humanity will see the OMINOUS first signs of cosmic break-up in each night sky as the earth rolls around. A terrifying lightning-like display glares “from east to west” (Matthew 24:27) over the whole sky, then the conical debris front of the “dam breaking” will rush through space, incrementally blocking out deep space stars, progressing from galactic north, like an inky-black curtain or garment, more every night, until upon reaching the space neighborhood of our solar system, with the only clear view being a nightly increasingly focused Throne (Revelation 6:13-16). The edges of the front first dim the sun until it looks “dark as sackcloth”, then suddenly the blinding smoke and debris will make the moon appear as “blood “, and finally, upon reaching Earth's atmosphere, noisy meteors (and meteorites) will literally fill the air with sight, sound, and smell so unprecedented and terrifying that Jesus and His prophets only describe what happens with: “the stars shall fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken “. (Matthew 24:29)
